Air plants, what kind of plants are they? There are different names such as Air plants or Airplants but the official name is: Tillandsia

A Tillandsia is a plant that does not need soil to survive, they grow on branches or rocks. Often these types of plants are parasites, but the Tillandsia is not.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The word for this is an Epiphyte. Epiphytes grow on plants without extracting food from them. They use the plant to reach a location where they can provide themselves with air and light. They get their nutrients from the air, light and rainwater.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

What can you do with air plants?<\/h3>\n

You can do a lot of creative things with air plants. They can hang upside down, so you can incorporate them into a shell. You can also stick\/glue air plants onto a piece of wood or tree stump. You can also simply place air plants loosely on a tray that you have nicely decorated with decorative sand and candles.<\/p>\n

As long as air plants get enough daylight, they will be very happy. And of course don't forget to water them regularly with a plant sprayer. You can also give air plants a dip.<\/p>\n
