Tillandsia Merlin, large or XL

We have the Tillandsia Merlin in 2 sizes; large and extra large. We have to confess that the XL is really big and beautiful!

If you look in to the core of the airplant you will see an amazing red color, the rest of the leaves are bright green. You can see the red really well with the XL size.

Put the Tillandsia Merlin in a light spot and spray on a regular basis (1 or 2 times a week) with rainwater or water that is low in lime. Only spray the top of the leaves.

The Tillandia Melin is most likely to be a hybride. Unfortunatly we do not have a lot of background information. But this specific one is cultivated in Indonesia.

Do you notie the airplant drying out? The leaves turning yellow? Or the leaves turning inwards? Collect some rainwater and put the airplant in the water for a couple of hours. Make sure you shake the water out afterwards and turn it upside down to dry to make sure it doesn't start to rot. You will notice the airplant will open up again after that.
