Rose of Jericho
The Rose of Jericho (Selaginella lepidophylla) is a plant that can dry out completely, stay in that state for years, and still unfold completely and turn green again within a few hours after adding water.
Here's how to bring the Rose of Jericho to life:
Pour cold, warm, hot or even boiling water over it. New life flows into the lifeless leaves.
After a few hours, the rose has become beautifully full and green.
Place the rose on a plate and give it fresh water every day. The Rose of Jericho should only stay moist for 8 days (then keep it dry and warm).
After about 2 days, the rose has completely dried up again, so you can repeat this spectacle again and again.

Approx. 8 to 10 cm in size (as a ball).
