Tillandsia houston
This one is definitely a favorite of ours! A cool air plant that spreads out beautifully. The Tillandsia houston looks a lot like the Tillandsia cotton candy.
This air plant has a really beautiful shape and looks great in a little pot, for example. Or simply loose on a tray between candles.
Size: approx. 15 cm
The Tillandsia Houston gets a gorgeous bright pink flower bud from which small white flowers emerge. (See photo) You never know in advance when this plant will bloom.
Once the flower has finished blooming, the mother plant may die. This doesn't always happen, and if you're lucky she'll produce a 'pup'. A pup is a small offshoot that grows from the side of the plant. Once it's 1/3 the size of the mother plant, you can carefully twist the pup off. Of course you can also leave the pup(s) on, and you'll naturally end up with a cluster.
Spray je luchtplantje 1-2x per week in met regenwater of onze voedingsspray. Zorg voor voldoende indirect zonlicht en frisse lucht. Luchtplantjes hebben geen aarde nodig.
Ieder luchtplantje is uniek, waardoor het bestelde plantje iets kan afwijken van het luchtplantje op de foto.
